SOUL SIRKUS, FIREHOUSE, PINK CREAM 69 Confirmed For THE GODS Festival

February 7, 2005

According to MelodicRock.com, SOUL SIRKUS, FIREHOUSE and PINK CREAM 69 are among the bands confirmed for the Gods 2005 Festival, set to take place May 6-7 at The Town & Country Club in Bradford (formerly known as Penningtons),U.K.

This year's event is presented as a co-production between Fireworks Magazine, Now & Then Records and Emerald Productions, and promises to be the melodic hard rock event of the year in England, if not the whole of Europe.

Over the years, The Gods has played host to such luminaries as HAREM SCAREM, TYKETTO, ERIC MARTIN, BOB CATLEY, STAN BUSH, MARK FREE, HARDLINE, JEFF SCOTT SOTO, TALISMAN, ROYAL HUNT, KEN TAMPLIN, HUGO, HONEYMOON SUITE, TEN, TWO FIRES, MITCH MALLOY and many others.

The criteria for the 2005 festival was simple — put together the best line-up possible from all areas of melodic hard rock. The promoters are confidant that not only have they reached their goal — but surpassed it.

The Gods Festival will kick off in Town & Country 2 on the night of Friday May 6, with full electric performances from Sweden's HOUSE OF SHAKIRA and Brighton rockers PRIDE. They will be joined by a third band (to be confirmed shortly),in what the organizers hope will be a very casual event — allowing fans and bands to enjoy the music and each other's company and of course, share a beer or two.

In the spirit of previous Gods events, it is hoped all the acts performing will make it along to the night and enjoy the vibe that is only generated by being at a Gods show.

The main day is Saturday May 7 — with nine bands scheduled to play. Doors open at noon with first band on at 12:30 p.m.
